Dr. Cooke graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1971 with a Bachelor of Arts in Pre-Professional Studies. He entered the School of Dentistry at Case Western Reserve University the following fall and was awarded a US Navy Dental Scholarship. Following Graduation, he served three years as a Lieutenant in the United States Dental Corp in Norfolk, Virginia and aboard the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower, CVN 69.
Dr. Cooke returned to Cleveland in 1978 and began his private practice. He was granted a faculty position at the School of Dentistry at Case where he taught from 1978 until 1985. Today, Dr. Cooke maintains a full time private practice in Westlake, Ohio. He is married to Debbie, his wife of 33 years, and has two children; Ben and his wife Amanda, who reside in Avon Lake, and Lindsey who lives in Bay Village.

Dr. Cooke has been selected in a vote by his peers as a “Top Dentist” as recognized by Northern Ohio Live magazine. He received this award in 2007, the inaugural year of the magazines recognition, as well as in 2008 and 2009. Dr. Cooke is committed to continuing education of restorative dentistry through substantial hours of post graduate courses and education. Journals consulted regularly include The International Journal of Periodontics and Restorative Dentistry, Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, and Advanced Esthetics and Interdisciplinary Dentistry.
